\nPalm Sun\u00adday! We don\u2019t real\u00adly know what this Sun\u00adday is sup\u00adpo\u00adsed to trig\u00adger in us. Is it a day of joy? Or is it the rather sad first act of the Pas\u00adsi\u00adon of Jesus Christ? This much is fore\u00adtold: it was a day of joy and tears. We remem\u00adber on this day the ent\u00adry of Jesus into Jeru\u00adsa\u00adlem. Many who had arri\u00adved ear\u00adly for the Pas\u00adso\u00adver gave Jesus of Naza\u00adreth an enthu\u00adsi\u00ada\u00adstic wel\u00adco\u00adme. What an event! Ever\u00ady\u00adthing talks about Jesus! They had heard at home about the won\u00adderful rai\u00adsing of Laza\u00adrus and now they could see Jesus. It was a jubilation!
\nFor them, it was like in the past when a vic\u00adto\u00adrious king retur\u00adned from a war. From time imme\u00admo\u00adri\u00adal, palm trees have been regard\u00aded in the Medi\u00adter\u00adra\u00adne\u00adan regi\u00adon as a sym\u00adbol of life and vic\u00adto\u00adry; in Isra\u00adel espe\u00adci\u00adal\u00adly as a sym\u00adbol of inde\u00adpen\u00addence. Becau\u00adse of the many palm fronds that were waved or laid on the path, this holi\u00adday, Palm Sun\u00adday, came into being in the ear\u00adly Midd\u00adle Ages. The Hosan\u00adna cheer was per\u00adfect\u00adly fit\u00adting, for he final\u00adly brought the truth to light. He is the Saviour, the Mes\u00adsiah. He is inde\u00aded a king! Even if he did not appear on a deco\u00adra\u00adted hor\u00adse, but on a don\u00adkey that did not even belong to him and had to be returned.

Jesus had a won\u00adderful view of the city from the Mount of Oli\u00adves, anyo\u00adne who has been the\u00adre knows it! Jesus is visi\u00adbly touch\u00aded by this sce\u00adn\u00adery. \nThis account in Luke\u2019s Gos\u00adpel touch\u00aded me very much. I have never wept over Switz\u00ader\u00adland, which is most\u00adly god\u00adless. I have never wept over the peo\u00adp\u00adle living in our block who have no per\u00adso\u00adnal rela\u00adti\u00adonship with Jesus. Or about rela\u00adti\u00adves, or good fri\u00adends, who don\u2019t seem to need faith in Jesus Christ. And you? Sure, it was dif\u00adfe\u00adrent for Jesus. He came to this earth to save us by dying on the cross, so rejec\u00adtion hits him much har\u00adder. And yet it should not lea\u00adve us cold when peo\u00adp\u00adle clo\u00adse to us reject God. We must care! We do not have to weep for them; but let them feel our love and pray for them again and again. It is advi\u00adsa\u00adble to take our pul\u00adse again in this regard.
